Guatemala
Through the work of Iglesia Bautista Faro de Luz the Maggard's have been involved in the opening of three new works in Guatemala. Both are under the direction of men who were trained under Ron's ministry. Salomon Gomez and his family were sent out in 2005 and they are working in the central mountain highlands in Xejeyup (Shay-Hey-oop) and also in Panacanal Dos. Edmundo Diaz, a young man who was led to the Lord in IBFL was sent out in February 2009 to begin a work in Tzisbaj, in the north of Guatemala. Plans are set to build our first building in Xejeyup in January 2010. The structure, a building was donated by a Virginia company and the construction is a project led by Chris Tolley with Hands of Compassion.Both of these missions will also be home of a Carelink International Clinic extention site which will operate to help the evangelistic efforts of these churches.
